Advertising and affiliate links

TeslaCarFacts is free to read. It is paid for by advertising and by affiliate links, and this page says where each one appears.

Ads

No ads are showing on the site at the moment. When they are switched on, they will be Google AdSense ads, and only on model pages, recall pages, owner-tips pages and stories.

The home page, the model list, the comparison and records pages, the VIN decoder, and this page and the other site-information pages never carry ads. How Google's advertising cookies work, and how to turn personalized ads off, is in the privacy policy.

Affiliate links

When a page recommends a product, its link goes to Amazon and carries the site's Amazon tag. As an Amazon Associate, TeslaCarFacts earns from qualifying purchases. A purchase costs you nothing extra. Each recommendation says what it is for, what its limits are and who should skip it.

What the money does not change

A commission never affects which products are recommended, how they are described or ranked, or any published fact. Advertisers do not choose content, and no advertiser or retailer reviews a page before it is published. Range figures still come from the EPA, recalls from NHTSA, and the rest from the sources each page links.
